How I Secure Every Client: My Proven Photography Proposal Process
FOR BEGINNERSBUSINESS STRATEGIES

Post-production is just as important as the shoot itself. After we’ve wrapped up, I immediately import the photos to my laptop and open them in Lightroom. I carefully select and flag the best shots, applying basic edits like exposure and color adjustments. If any photos need further refinement, I send them to Photoshop to clean up blemishes, remove scratches, or even expand the frame using generative AI tools. Once I'm done in Photoshop, I bring the images back to Lightroom to ensure consistency in color correction across the entire set.
When the editing process is complete,
I save the final images to the client’s folder. Then, I send a preview selection to the client, allowing them to review and ensure we’re aligned on expectations before delivering the full gallery. I love hearing their feedback and seeing their satisfaction with the finished images!
How I Secure Every Client: My Proven Photography Proposal Process
When it comes to securing clients, it’s all about having a solid process in place. For me, it starts with a well-crafted photography proposal that sets the stage for everything that follows. From there, the next step is making the shoot seamless and stress-free, and finally, ensuring that the post-shoot experience leaves the client thrilled. In this blog, I’ll walk you through each step of my process to show how I keep clients coming back for more. Let’s get started!
Getting to Know the Client:
Every great photo shoot starts with a conversation. When I have a new client, the very first thing I do is hop on a phone call with them. This initial chat is crucial as it allows us to discuss the product they'll be showcasing and the overall purpose of the photo shoot. Understanding the client's vision helps me to formulate a clear approach to deliver what they need. Whether it’s for social media, a business website, or an advertisement, knowing the 'why' behind the shoot puts us on the right path.

"A well-crafted proposal is more than just a document—it's your first opportunity to show clients why you're the perfect fit for their vision."
After discussing the details with the client, I send over my proposal. This is more than just a contract; it's a reflection of my professionalism and dedication to the craft. The proposal outlines what we’ve talked about, including timelines, costs, and any specifics about the shoot. A vital part of this document is the mood board. It visually represents the style we’re aiming for; it’s like a sneak peek into what the final photos will feel like. If the client is happy with the proposal and mood board, we're ready to move on to the next step!

Crafting the Proposal :
On the shooting day, after receiving the product, the first thing I do is open the proposal and review the mood board. I carefully check each image to ensure I have all the necessary ingredients and props. If something is missing, I make sure to buy it in advance to avoid any last-minute issues. This way, I’m fully prepared, and there’s no scrambling on the shoot day. Once everything is ready, I move on to setting up the backgrounds and lighting, making sure every detail aligns with the vision we’ve outlined

Ps : you can play some music in the background to help you focus more on what you doing
me personally, I like to play mashup or remix on YouTube so I don't have to distract myself and change the song every now and then.
Post production :
In conclusion, my daily photo shoot process is a blend of meticulous planning, creative execution, and detailed post-production work. By maintaining clear communication from the proposal stage to the final delivery, I’m able to create stunning product images that truly capture my clients' vision. I’m always excited for the next shoot!
